As well as previous years University Computing Centre SRCE will join the global OpenEducation Week, which will take place from March 27 - 31, 2017. The Open Education Week's goal is to raise awareness about the movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide.
This year SRCE organises the discussion about open education and open access which will be held at Srce on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 16:00 CET.
The event will start with invited lecture by Cable Green, Director of Open Education, Creative Commons titled „Open Education: The Moral, Business & Policy Case for OER“. This lecture will be an introduction into discussion with the invited speakers about importance of the policies on openness in education and science and open access to the research data, educational resources, scientific information and papers. Invited speakers are Europe's Open Access Champions from Croatia: Professor Diana Šimić, Assistant professor Predrag Pale and Assistant professor Ivana Hebrang Grgić from the University of Zagreb.
