This year's Conference SRCE DEI 2019 will take place in Zagreb on 1 and 2 April 2019, as part of the national strategic project Croatian Science and Education Cloud (HR-ZOO) co-financed by the European Union funds from the European Regional Development Fund.
The conference program will focus on presenting existing and planned initiatives in the science and higher education system in which e-infrastructure plays a significant role.
The modern science and education system relies on technology and services based on it, and also on people who improve it. Inspired by this idea and the need for dialogue between all stakeholders in the science and higher education system, the main topic of the conference was to summarize the three concepts: connectivity, communication and cooperation.
On the first day Croatian Science and Education Cloud (HR-ZOO) preconference will be held with invited lectures from assistant professor Rosa Karlić, PhD, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, associate professor, Jan Šnajder, PhD from Faculty of electrical ingeneering and Vibor Jelić, PhD, Ruđer Bošković Institute. Eropean Commission representative Jean-Claude Burgelman will present the plans and perspectives of the European digital infrastructure for open science.
On the second conference day Hannah Short from the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, CERN will hold a lecture on the importance of electronic identity systems.
