First issue of the CIT Journal of Computing and Information Technology in 2015 has been published. This is a special issue on Emerging Web Technologies and Applications which contains seven papers written by 22 researchers from six countries. The papers have been accepted after a strict review process with at least two independent reviews by international experts in the relevant field. The first two papers focus on a survey of web technologies and on classifying web applications, while the third paper describes a core development of the web. The next paper presents an interesting case study on the applying crowd sourcing. The topics of the next two papers are eLearning and modern learning management system. The last paper sums up the issue by focusing on the future of the web.
