SRCE delivered Recommendations for the use of the national IX point for the exchange of Internet traffic in the framework of the Action plan for the implementation of the National Strategy for cyber security, in accordance with the Measure A.3.1, developed together with the co-carriers Information System Security Bureau and Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries.
The National Strategy and Action Plan recognized the importance of CIX as an important factor in the Croatian Internet space and its potential to increase computer security the Croatia.
The recommendations promote the use of the national node for the exchange of Internet traffic, with special emphasis on the benefits of its use in terms of safe exchange of Internet traffic. CIX ensures mutual exchange of Internet traffic between users of different services via the shortest communication path in the national system of public electronic communications. This way the exchange of Internet traffic represents a safety requirement for operators providing services to government, but also the need for an efficient and cost-effective national connectivity of all other users in the economic sector and the citizens of Croatia.
