As part of the European MyAcademicID workshop week SRCE, as a partner in the MyAcademicID project, organized a workshop titled "Implementing a European Student eID".
The workshop was held on October 22, 2020, starting at 11:00 CET, through the SRCE webinar system with the participation of 91 participants from 48 institutions from the higher education and science community.
The results of the MyAcademicID project were presented at the workshop. Licia Florio, GÉANT, spoke about the project and its achievements, emphasizing the importance of the European Student Identifier (ESI) for the digitalization of the Erasmus student mobility program. Jasmina Skočlić from the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs spoke about the digitalization of Erasmus, referring to the situation in the Republic of Croatia. Miroslav Milinović from SRCE spoke about the role of SRCE and the achieved results in the project. He pointed out that the possibility of using JMBAG as an ESI for all students in Croatia was achieved through the AAI@EduHr system, which is interconnected with international systems eduGAIN and eIDAS. In the discussion at the end of the workshop, interest was expressed for the continuation of activities on the digitalization of processes related to mobility in higher education as well as for the internationalization of student ID cards.
