Information system of higher education institutions

ABOUT ISVU

ISVU (Information system of higher education institutions) is a network-oriented modular information system, designed as support for business processes connected to teaching at institutions of higher learning, and monitoring the course of a student's academic study, as prescribed by legal acts and regulations of various institutions of higher learning throughout the Republic of Croatia.

It consists of multiple modules designed to enable editing of a central data base. The system is used to record and store data related to students, teachers, subjects, courses, curricula and syllabi, enrollment of students, exams, thesis subjects and study completion. The modules support the various activities performed by every institution of higher learning such as: student enrollment, exam application, recording exam evaluation and study completion data, issuing various documents (certificate of enrollment and graduation, diploma and diploma supplement). The modules also automatically generate collective reports pertaining to the data entered and recorded in the system.

ISVU provides a uniform ID of students, teachers, subjects, courses and curricula. It enables a grouping of data originating from a large number of institutions, and maintains a data storage system used by the various universities and the Ministry of Science and Education.

The University Computing Centre - Srce provides software support and development for the system, while ensuring its operation and day-to-day functioning.

ISVU is used by 111 institutions of higher learning with over 140000 students.

ISVU MODULES

The Information system of higher education institutions (ISVU) consists of a set of several separate modules, implemented using different technologies and intended for different groups of users within higher education institutions. The system enables data recording and actively supports the administrative processes of the higher education institutions.

ISVU consists of the following modules: Studiji i studenti, Ispiti, Studomat, Kadrovi, Admin koordinator, Nastavnički portal, Skladište podataka, DISIS, Pregled sustava, Poslijediplomski studiji, REST API i Visoka učilišta.

MODULE OPERATION

With regard to the applied technology in ISVU, we distinguish between client-server and web modules:

Studiji i studenti, Poslijediplomski studiji, Ispiti, Admin koordinator, and Kadroviare client-server modules within ISVU. These modules need to be installed on the user's computer. They can only be used on computers whose Internet address is registered in the ISVU database, in the interest of increased security and protection of the system as a whole.

Web modules do not require installation on the user's computer but are used via any of the standard Internet browsers. They are: Studomat, Skladište podataka, DISIS, Nastavnički portal, Visoka učilišta, Pregled podataka. Web modules can be used from any computer that has an Internet connection.

To use the modules, an AAI @ EduHr electronic identity is necessary.

A prerequisite for using both types of modules is an internet connection.

DOWNLOAD ALL DESKTOP APPLICATIONS

You can select two options to download each ISVU module. The first is an application that connects to the database which works with actual data, while Proba is a version of the application that connects to the test database (works with test data) and is used to test the operation of the system.
