Croatian Open Science Cloud Initiative ceremonially marked the beginning of its activities on September 3rd, 2021 at the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.

The constitutive session of the Council of the Croatian Open Science Cloud (HR-OOZ) Initiative was held at the Ministry of Science and Education on September 3rd, 2021. This event was the first step towards the development of a national open science plan and the establishment of the HR-OOZ.

As part of the NI4OS-Europe project, in which SRCE participates as one of the partners, a webinar about the development of a Data Management Plan (DMP) and a Domain Data Protocol (DDP) was held.

At the first official General Assembly of EOSC Association on December 17, 2020, SRCE was accepted as a full member and as a mandate organization of the Republic of Croatia appointed by the Ministry of Science and Education.

In mid-September, the document, „EOSC - a tool for enabling Open Science in Europe“ was published. It highlighted the necessity to re-orient EOSC activities towards the needs of user communities and gave a clear position on the value of EOSC.

As part of the NI4OS-Europe project, the last in a series of webinars on IT Service Management (ITMS) was held on 15 and 16 September 2020, with the participation of two trainers from SRCE.

The NI4OS-Europe project published the results of a survey on the extent to which stakeholders in the Southeast European science system are familiar with the concept of open science and the objectives of the European Open Science Cloud.

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Executive Board has launched the Open Consultation on the EOSC Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). The consultation will be open until 31 August 2020.
