In mid-September, the document, „EOSC - a tool for enabling Open Science in Europe“ was published. It highlighted the necessity to re-orient EOSC activities towards the needs of user communities and gave a clear position on the value of EOSC.

The EOSC Executive Committee published the second version of its Work Plan: a coordination document about key activities in this critical final phase of implementation before the “minimum sustainable EOSC” presentation at the end of 2020.

The European Commission, together with several partners, one of which is the University Computing Centre (SRCE), has launched the European COVID-19 disease data platform to enable the rapid collection and sharing of available research data.

The European Open Science Cloud is a virtual environment that provides researchers with open access to data and services for managing, processing and using research data. The EOSC portal is the access point through which researchers access EOSC services.

As part of the NI4OS-Europe project, on which SRCE participates as a partner, the first series of webinars on the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles was held on February 19 and 20, 2020.

A working meeting of the ARGO team was held in SRCE in September 2019, which, as part of the H2020 EOSC-Hub project, works on the development, integration and maintenance of central infrastructure and collaboration services.

The National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe (NI4OS-Europe) project began on September 1, 2019 as part of the European Union's Horizon 2020 (Horizon 2020) Research and Innovation Program 2014-2020.

The EOSC-hub Magazine is a publication of the EOSC-hub project on which SRCE is partner, edited to showcase major results and achievements of the project, collaborations ongoing with other initiatives and updates from the communities.
