The conference took place on 22–23 May 2025 at Algebra University College (Bernays Campus) in Zagreb, bringing together open-source enthusiasts and professionals from across Croatia and the wider region.
DORS/CLUC is jointly organized by HrOpen and HULK, two non-profit organizations committed to promoting the use of open technologies and encouraging their adoption in everyday life.
During two days of lectures, workshops, and social events, DORS/CLUC served as a gathering place for students, FOSS enthusiasts, developers, hackers, freelancers, companies, and public sector representatives to learn, network, collaborate, and exchange ideas – all with a shared interest in free software and Linux.
As part of its ongoing commitment to open access, SRCE contributed to the conference not only through its partnership but also with a talk given by Dubravko Penezić. In a new 5+30-minute format, he presented the OpenCode.HR project – SRCE’s initiative aimed at cataloging and promoting the use of open source code developed within the Croatian scientific and academic community.
The presentation used Claper, an open-source tool that enables online presentations with live audience interaction, including features such as collaborative Q&A, links to external resources, comment forms, and more.
In addition to the presentation, SRCE used the opportunity to engage with conference participants, exchanging insights not only about OpenCode.HR, but also about SRCE’s broader portfolio of services for the academic and research community. These conversations provided valuable feedback and suggestions on how users perceive SRCE’s services and what could be further improved.
