Deputy Director of SRCE, Ognjen Orel, Ph.D., participated in the euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting 2025, held from 25 to 27 November 2025. As part of the programme, he delivered a presentation entitled “Croatian National Research Information System – CroRIS”, in which he presented the key features of the Croatian Research Information System (CroRIS), the ways in which the system is integrated into national policies and connected with other information systems, as well as the latest functionalities of the system.
He also took part in a panel discussion dedicated to national and regional CRIS systems in Europe, where the importance of systematic development, maintenance and governance of national CRIS systems was emphasised.
CroRIS is the national information system that integrates data on research activities in Croatia and represents one of the key data sources for procedures in higher education and science. It also contains official registers of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth related to science and higher education.
