The euroCRIS Membership Meeting, organized by euroCRIS — an international non-profit association dedicated to the development, promotion, and standardization of Current Research Information Systems (CRIS)—gathered members from across Europe to exchange knowledge and best practices in the field.
Dr. Ognjen Orel, Deputy Director of SRCE, moderated a session in which Petra Udovičić, Head of CroRIS Development at SRCE, presented the joint work of SRCE and the Ruđer Bošković Institute titled:
"Enhancing CRIS data quality and reliability through the Government Service Bus (GSB)."
In her presentation, she showcased the integration of CroRIS with authoritative data sources defined in the Metaregister and accessed via the Government Service Bus (GSB). The primary goal of this integration is to improve the quality and reliability of data in CroRIS, as well as in public registries that depend on it.
The presentation also touched upon the European Once-Only Technical System (OOTS)—a recent initiative by the European Commission aimed at simplifying and automating cross-border administrative processes through seamless data exchange between EU Member States.
SRCE has been a member of euroCRIS since 2018 and actively contributes to its work through regular presentations and other activities. Since the beginning of 2025, Dr. Ognjen Orel has also been serving as a member of the euroCRIS Steering Board.
