The University E-learning Day and the celebration of 18 years of operation of SRCE’s E-learning Centre were held on Thursday, 11 December 2025.
At the opening of the event, guests were welcomed by Ivan Marić, Director of SRCE, who highlighted SRCE’s important and active role in providing specialised support to stakeholders in the higher education system in strengthening digital competences for the implementation of the latest digital technologies in their everyday work.
With its systematic and high-quality support for the implementation of e-learning in higher education, the SRCE E-learning Centre has reached its coming of age. Through the Centre, SRCE continuously monitors the needs of the academic community in the field of e-learning and the application of digital technologies in the educational process, providing a reliable and modern virtual learning environment, as well as support for teachers and students in online teaching and learning.
Following the opening remarks, selected e-courses from constituent institutions of the University of Zagreb were presented as examples of good practice in the use of e-learning technologies in education.
Artificial intelligence and its impact on education was the central theme of the event. Within the programme segment entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Education – Challenges, Opportunities and Practices”, two invited lectures were delivered, followed by a short discussion.
