As in previous years, the University of Zagreb University Computing Centre (SRCE) is once more participating in MIPRO 2025, the 48th International Convention on Information, Communication and Electronic Technology.
Ivan Marić, Director of SRCE, took part in the official opening ceremony. SRCE is contributing to the conference as the coordinator of the Croatian National Competence Centre for High-Performance Computing (HR HPC CC). Representatives of the Centre and SRCE presented the latest possibilities for using and applying supercomputers in science, industry, and the public sector through an interactive exhibition space.
This year’s presentation of the Croatian Centre was organized in cooperation with SLING, the Slovenian National Competence Centre for Supercomputing, with support from the EuroCC 2 project (National Competence Centres in the framework of EuroHPC Phase 2). The collaboration is part of a European network of 33 national competence centres jointly developing knowledge, tools, and services in the field of high-performance computing.
“From Algorithms to Awareness: A Journey Through the New Digital Reality” is the theme of this year’s MIPRO 2025 convention, which takes place in Opatija until 6 June 2025.
The conference is held in a hybrid format, and, as in previous years, artificial intelligence was used for real-time translation into all EU languages during the opening ceremony.
