The final event of the Croatian Quantum Communication Infrastructure – CroQCI project presented the results of national advancements in next-generation secure communications.
SRCE staff participated in the partner meeting of the Erasmus+ project Strengthening Teacher Training with AI through Remote-learning Spaces (STTAIRS) in Barcelona. They discussed the project’s progress and results achieved so far.
A delegation of teachers and representatives of higher education institutions and government bodies from Georgia visited the University Computing Centre SRCE on 29 May 2026 as part of a study visit to the Republic of Croatia organised through the project PROmoting High-quality DIgital education in GEorgia (PRODIGE).
At the Second University Lifelong Learning Day held on Thursday, 7 May 2026, at the University of Zagreb, University Computing Centre SRCE participated with the workshop “Using ISVU for the Administration of Lifelong Learning Programmes”.
The Fourth National Tripartite EOSC Meeting, titled “All Faces of Open Science”, was held as part of the SRCE DEI 2026 conference. The event gathered more than 70 participants and focused on strengthening the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) in Croatia and promoting open science practices.
At the 9th EOSC Tripartite Event, held in Cyprus on April 21, 2026, the candidates for the second wave of EOSC Node establishment were confirmed. The European Commission, EOSC Association, and EOSC Steering Board approved 14 new candidates for EOSC Nodes, including the Croatian national EOSC Node. SRCE, as the mandated institution, will coordinate the new Croatian national EOSC Node, with participation from member institutions of the Croatian Open Science Cloud Initiative (HR-OOZ). SRCE is carrying out the establishment process with the support of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth and as a member of HR-OOZ.
As the coordinator of the Croatian Internet eXchange (CIX), University Computing Centre SRCE is participating in the 44th Euro-IX Forum, taking place on 4 and 5 May 2026 at the University of Vienna.
This year’s conference has concluded. Over the course of two days, 28 and 29 April 2026, more than 500 participants from the higher education and research community, public administration, industry and international institutions took part in the conference. The programme included more than forty presentations organised into eight thematic sessions, 13 workshops, 11 poster presentations and two invited lectures.
